The Experience

Each evening culminates in a screening of The Phantom of the Opera scored live by exceptional musicians. But, before the screening begins, you will be completely immersed in the world of the film. Everyone is assigned a role and is required to attend the masquerade at our very own Théâtre National de l’Opéra in Santa Monica in costume—during the ball, you may wander the lavish opera house at your leisure in order to explore rooms, interact with characters, solve puzzles, and achieve your objectives. Individual experiences, like individuals themselves, will vary widely over the four hour event (including the screening).

For your enjoyment, crepes and drinks will be served throughout the evening, which can be purchased at a discounted price in advance. Crepes and drinks will also be available for purchase individually at the event at $6-10 and $10-12 for specialty cocktails.

You are free to spend your time at the Opera any way you'd like. We do, however, require everyone to be 21+ and to dress appropriately (formal attire - long dresses, at least knee length, for female characters and suits or tuxes for male characters). While specific period attire is not required, if you would like to rent or purchase an outfit Make Believe Inc in Santa Monica is providing discount on rentals and sales!
